No. S-38012\/02\/2013-SS-I dated 22-12-2016 has increased the\u00a0<strong>wage limit<\/strong> for coverage of an employee under sub-clause (b) of clause (9) of Section 2 of the ESI Act to <strong>Rs. 21000\/- (Rupees Twenty One Thousand only)<\/strong>\u00a0from earlier limit of Rs. 15000\/- by amendment in the Rule 50 of the Employees State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The aforesaid amendment shall come into effect from 01-01-2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">There is no change in the existing wage limit of Rs. 25000\/- prescribed for persons of Disability\u00a0under the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 (1 of 1996), and under the National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act, 1999 (44 of 1999).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The copy of the Notification (English Version) is attached below for ready reference:-<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.ritulpatwa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/ESIC-Notification-on-21000-limit.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-607\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.ritulpatwa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/ESIC-Notification-on-21000-limit.jpg\" alt=\"esic-notification-on-21000-limit\" width=\"1240\" height=\"1754\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Government of India through Ministry of Labour &amp; Employment vide Notification No.\u00a0F.
